|WEBINAR: Learn how to fold social media |
into your IR program
Our client is not alone. In separate discussions I've had with leading investor relations officers around the country, there's growing recognition that social media is an effective tool for communicating with investor audiences.
For instance, IROs often have information to share that does not warrant a full-blown press release, but still has value for investors. The ability to post this information on the company's blog lets IROs address "the issue du jour," saving hours of otherwise unproductive time on the phone answering the same question from a host of investors.
These early adopters are finding creative uses of social media to improve communications with their investors. Yet most IROs are still only slowly adopting some form of social media.
Social media has never claimed to offer the silver bullet that will magically increase the value of your organization by magnitudes. But in a world that is increasingly expecting unfettered access to an endless ocean of information, it just seems a bit ironic that most IROs are ignoring a tool that enables them to control their company's narrative and join the many conversations that are already influencing their valuation.
Feeling overwhelmed by the social media phenomenon? Not sure where to begin? You've come to the right place. We'll be hosting a webinar to provide you with some ideas to effectively integrate social media into your IR program without all the drama that seems to surround the topic.
The webinar, titled "The Socialization of IR: How to Drive Shareholder Value Through Social Media," will take place on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at 12 p.m. EST. In addition to our social media team, you'll be hearing from leading IROs who have transcended their initial skepticism and found a way to use social media to improve their communications.
You can register for our webinar here, and we will send you a "save the date" once we get closer to the event. As an added bonus, everyone who registers will be entered into our drawing for a $250 Amazon gift card. One lucky attendee will win. There will be a random drawing from the pool of participants at the end of the webinar.
We are sure our webinar will sort through all the noise and provide you with actionable insights into how companies both large and small from a broad cross section of industries are using blogging and social media to control their narrative to better communicate with their investors. We hope to see you there.
